cystic fibrosis (cf), a genetic disease, occurs when someone is born with two copies of the defective cf gene-one from each parent. more than 10 million americans (1 in 31) are carriers of one copy of that gene.

when the foundation began in 1955, few children with cf lived to attend elementary school. today the median age of survival extends into their early thirties.

followed by a parade of motocycles around th field, a great ball game and last but not least, a magnificent fireworks show.
